**Position Summary:** Individual performs metal (primarily steel) fabrication and welding to create custom\-designed machinery for the quarry construction industry. The welder is responsible for various types of structural welding, including preparation, welding, and finishing operations. This is a busy shop with a growing customer base and specified production deadlines. Successful applicant must be in good physical condition and able to work in a steel fabrication shop environment. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** * Reading, understanding and following detailed drawings and blueprint specifications * Collaborating directly with plant manager, shop supervisor, customer, drafter, and peers to produce finished products * Welding using modern techniques and equipment * Using wire and filler material applications for various steel fabrication * Using manual and power tools for finish grinding applications * Using various machines, welding practices, mathematics and building materials * Completing work accurately and timely to ensure smooth workflow to meet project deadlines * Performing job functions and using equipment safely by following safety policies and good housekeepi...
