**Controller (Mortgage)** **Location:** New York, New York (Hybrid) **Position Type:** Full\-Time **Role Overview** We are seeking an ambitious, tech\-forward **Controller** to build and scale our accounting department from the ground up. Working directly alongside our Chief Financial Officer, you will help design and execute an automation\-first finance function—leveraging an AI\-native general ledger, warehouse funding optimization, and modern loan origination systems (LOS) under a rigorous internal controls framework built for **SOC 1 Type II** compliance and eventual **SEC 404(b)** public\-company standards. In this role, you will own day\-to\-day accounting operations end\-to\-end with a mandate to continually automate and streamline them. Every process you execute is a process you will help redesign for rapid scale. **What You'll Own** * **Core Operations:** Own full\-cycle AP/AR, GL accrual accounting, and vendor mapping across the finance tech stack.
