**Medical Assistant** QuickMD \| Birmingham, Alabama \| Full\-time, in person \| $17\.00 to $21\.00 per hour **About the role** QuickMD is a national telehealth company that connects patients with licensed clinicians, with a focus on opioid addiction treatment. We are looking for a dependable, patient\-focused Medical Assistant for our Birmingham clinic. You will be the first face and voice patients meet, working alongside our on\-site registered nurse. The role centers on the front desk and includes clinical support tasks. **What you will do** * Answer the clinic phone promptly and professionally, schedule and reschedule appointments, take messages, and route calls to the right clinical or administrative staff. * Greet patients on arrival, confirm appointments and demographics, and direct them to the right area of the clinic. * Check patients in and out and update patient records in our EMR. * Assist with drug screen collections (saliva swab) following our chain\-of\-custody procedures, including specimen labeling, documentation, and secure handling. * Verify patient identity, obtain required consents, and complete collection forms accurately. * Keep collection and exam areas clea...
