**Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets – Waukesha, WI** Silgan Containers is looking for a Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets. **Role Overview** The Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets, is responsible for accounting and control activities related to the company’s fixed assets and capital projects, while also providing accounting support for Health and Welfare and other corporate accounts. The position supports accurate financial records through capital job accounting, asset transfers and disposals, physical inventories, account reconciliations, journal entries, budgeting, and compliance with established accounting policies and procedures. **What You Will Do** * Prepare journal entries for fixed asset activity, including recording asset additions, transferring assets between plants, disposing of assets, and recording monthly depreciation. * Support compliance with the company’s capitalization requirements and fixed asset policies, helping ensure capital expenditures are properly classified and recorded promptly. * Partner cross\-functionally with plant personnel, Project Engineering, Tax, and Accounting departments to maintain accurate asset information. * Maintain monthly and year\-to\-date fi...
