**Job Description:** **Tax Processing Specialist** * Prepare 700\+ sales and use tax returns monthly for level 2\-3 clients, applying in\-depth compliance knowledge and independent professional judgment to resolve complex tax reporting issues accurately and on time. * Independently implement new clients, entities, and data files; ensure seamless onboarding and transition; review client tax data for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and take corrective action. * Foster strong client relationships through regular communication, proactive support, and timely response to inquiries; provide support for online filings, payments, and tax authority notice responses. * Format and import monthly tax data into Vertex Indirect Tax Returns (VITR) software; prepare and maintain monthly client tax compliance reports and documentation. * Utilize automation and data processing technologies, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Alteryx, to enhance process efficiency and operational accuracy. * Serve as trainer and mentor to 1\-3 junior staff members; actively participate in 1\-3 MSO special teams, contributing to process improvements and business initiatives. * Accommodate additional wo...
