Under general direction, provides prescribed medications and pharmaceutical products for adequate patient care according to professional standards and practices. Advises/consults with medical staff, other health professionals, patients and families on pharmaceutical and patient care issues. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities****:** 1\. Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. 2\. Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. 3\. Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions. 4\. Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections. 5\. Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies. 6\.
