Spudnik Equipment Company is seeking a **General Ledger Accountant** with 2–3 years of accounting experience to support monthly financial close, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The position will also assist with inventory accounting and manufacturing variance analysis, working with Accounting and Operations to investigate unusual transactions and understand the root causes of significant variances. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare and post journal entries and support the monthly and year\-end close process. * Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules. * Review general ledger activity, research discrepancies, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded. * Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting. * Maintain accounting schedules for accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts. * Reconcile inventory activity to the general ledger and assist with physical inventory and cycle count processes. * Review inventory adjustments, manufacturing costs, and significant cost variances for accuracy. * Investigate the root cause of signi...
