Description

**The Role** Senior Design Engineers are the hands\-on technical backbone of our production team. You will be a primary design and production contributor, supported by a strong team, leading or supporting land development design from concept through approval and construction. You will work closely with Group Leaders who handle project budgets, fees, and contracts, so you can focus on the design, engineering, permitting and project execution. In\-person is preferred, hybrid/remote potential. **What You'll Do** * Lead or support site and civil design: layout, grading, roadways, utilities, and the construction documents and calculations behind them. * Design stormwater and erosion and sediment control to Virginia DEQ and local requirements and prepare plans to VDOT and local standards. * Take plans through approval. Prepare submittals, address review comments, and, at times, represent projects with localities, VDOT, clients, and consultants. * Deliver quality work on schedule, and communicate design risks or schedule concerns early. * Apply and improve our standards and QA/QC, review others' work for quality and constructability and contribute to evaluation and improvement of our tool...
