**Position Summary** The Housing Support Specialist will be responsible for providing statewide support to two core programs: 1\. The Housing Support Program, which provides short‑term housing assistance to eligible youth leaving foster care who are eligible for but not participating in Fostering Futures, Virginia’s extended foster care program. 2\. The Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) Program, which provides rental assistance vouchers in partnership with Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) to prevent homelessness among youth formally in foster care. This position delivers training, technical assistance, and partnership development across the state. The specialist serves all 120 Local Departments of Social Services (LDSS) and approximately 41 PHAs in Virginia. Child welfare experience is strongly preferred. **Job Description** The Housing Support Specialist will coordinate housing and supportive services for young adults transitioning out of foster care through both the Housing Support Program (HSP) and the Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) vouchers program.
