**EFFECTIVE DATE** **2026\-2027 School Year** **POSITION** **Registered Nurse (10 Month)** **STATUS** **This position will be filled according to the Civil Service rules by a probationary appointment.** **REQUIREMENTS** **Current NYS License as a Registered Nurse** **Current Certification in CPR** **QUALIFICATIONS** **Experience in pediatric and/or community or public health nursing** **LOCATION** **District** **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** * **Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the health needs of students and staff.** * **Administer medications and treatments per medical orders and parental written authorization based on district policy.** * **Follow communicable disease control procedures and inform and advise administration and/or parents regarding school exclusion and re\-admission.** * **Provide care for student illnesses and accidents according to school policies and protocols during the school day.** * **Plan with administrators, teachers, and other school personnel to modify the school environment for children with special health care needs.** * **Responsible for all follow\-up on in\-school physical examination referrals.** * **Customary duties associated with the posi...
