Amentum is seeking a **Purchasing Specialist** for a position on **Kauai, HI**. Negotiate and purchase from vendors and/or subcontractors for materials and services as required. Perform purchasing administrative tasks as needed to support the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) Project. The candidate shall possess working knowledge and be capable, under guidance, and performing other related tasks as a Purchasing Specialist. The position is in Hawaii. Purchasing Specialist supporting Contracting Services, as well as being cross\-trained and cross\-utilized in other departments. **Responsibilities** * Prepare Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotes (RFQs), Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) and any other types of agreements as allowed in FAR Part 13\. * Identify sources of supply to meet availability and competitive pricing favorable to the company and the Government. * Ensure compliance with company policies as well as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). * Analyze quotations for repair transactions and issue orders up to authorized purchase limits for vendor repairs. * Document rationale for vendor/subcontractor selection; exercise discretion and independent judg...
