The Marketing Specialist II performs professional\-level public information, marketing and digital communications work in support of Citywide programs, services, projects and initiatives. The position develops and implements communications campaigns; creates and manages digital, print and multimedia content; supports the City's website and social media platforms; assists with media relations and emergency communications; and works collaboratively with City departments to communicate timely, accurate and accessible information to the public. Under general direction of the Marketing Manager, the position manages assigned communications projects and serves as a professional communications resource to City departments. This position exercises no direct supervision but may provide technical and functional direction to City staff, contractors and vendors. *The following duties are typical for this classification.
