The corporate Transportation Manager is responsible for planning, direction, and coordination of all transportation operations, ensuring efficient and cost\-effective movement of all material and goods related to Carlex’s OE and aftermarket business. This position will work directly with MP\&L Managers at each Carlex location to ensure logistics strategy is being executed in most efficient way. \*\*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS \*\* * Develop, implement, and manage ongoing short and long term logistics strategy for Carlex. * Manage all aspects of spend and reporting for all logistics activities for plants and AGS * Plan, direct, and manage activities of 3rd party logistics partner(s) * Competitively bid Carlex requirements within the market. * Negotiate best rates among transportation and logistics costs * Work with Carlex manufacturing, warehouse operations, and suppliers to oversee coordination of best cost\-effective routes * Develop and measure key performance metrics related to supply chain management * Develop and execute savings initiatives, involving 3PL and plant MP\&L personnel * Submit annual freight estimate for finance budgeting and monthly reporting * Submit monthly freight...
