**Controller** **Overview** The Controller is primarily responsible for overseeing and managing the department of Finance and coordinating it’s overlap of other functions such as employee benefits, compliance, technology, and office administration. The Controller is responsible for developing and monitoring the firm's financial strategy, budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receiveable, vendor management, forecasting programs, and overseeing financial reporting and control. Responsibilities also include overseeing the Office Administrator. This position is managed directly by the CEO of Petersen Hastings. Oversight of the above items includes close coordination with the CEO, COO, CCO. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** ***Corporate Financials*** * Create, implement, and maintain financial policies, systems, processes, and tools to maximize efficiency of workflow and financial controls. * Oversee the preparation and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting materials for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. * Monitor all purchasing and payroll activity for employees. * Approve vendor payables for check signing. * Develop and manage direct accounting/finance ...
