As the City Engineer, the right candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future of the city's infrastructure in projects that include sidewalk improvement, street maintenance and construction, flood protection, sanitary and storm sewers, levee improvements, trails and parks projects as well as input on many other projects. The City of Muscatine prides itself on a positive and supportive organizational culture and teamwork. Primary job responsibilities will involve developing, coordinating, and implementing ongoing projects and engineering tasks. This includes assessment of project issues, development of the project design and scope of work, cost estimation, engineering design, construction management, inspection, project documentation, conducting needed research, and addressing citizen issues and concerns.
