This position is responsible for providing excellent patient care and experience in accordance with Mountain Park guiding principles, HIPAA, and any other applicable federal \& state laws. The Medical Assistant (MA) II position must be able to perform the essential functions of a MA. ***Essential Functions*** * Performs and completes clinical and non\-clinical assigned duties, tasks, responsibilities, and assignments in the back office. * Applies practice management principles and collaborates with the front office to maintain accurate, up\-to\-date medical records while ensuring seamless revenue cycle activities. * Adheres to and follows procedures for immunization and medication administration, including but limited to labeling, storing, and utilization. * Performs and adheres to all Clinical Laboratory of Improvement Amendments (CLIA) testing instructions; collects specimens, processes and documents results in the electronic health records (EHR). * Fulfills provider orders within scope of practice and provides patients’ discharge instructions. * Assists with coordinating the continuity of patient care with internal health departments. * Maintains proper levels of supplies in exa...
