**Job Title:** Accountant, Grant Management Accountant **Company Summary:** The Food Basket Inc. is Hawai’i Island’s Food Bank – a 501c3 nonprofit based on Hawai\`i Island with programs throughout the state. The administrative office is located in Hilo. **Compensation:** $60,000 \- $75,000 per year, depending on qualifications **Status:** Full\-time, exempt **Position Start Date:** Immediately **Position Reports To:** Executive Director and Director of Finance **General Job Duties:** Nonprofit accountant for a food bank. Grant management, fund accounting, capital project accounting **Education Requirements:** Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting, college transcripts required **Preferred Experience:** at least one year in nonprofit accounting **Duties and Responsibilities:** * Grant management – ensuring that funds are accounted for and expended per grant or contract agreement and all reporting and other requirements are met * Capital project – the organization is developing an Agriculture Innovation Park and Food Systems Campus; this position will post transactions and track funds related to the project * Accounts payable, staff credit card transaction postings and reconcili...
