**DESCRIPTION** --------------- **This position is considered a Safety\-Sensitive position. Applicants who pass the interview process will be subject to drug and alcohol testing.** The purpose of this class within the organization is to oversee, manage, and support overall operation of the Engineering division as well as Operation \& Maintenance, Water Resource Recovery Facility and Water Treatment Plant as it relates to Regulatory Compliance within the Water Department. **EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES** -------------------------------- **Essential Functions:** Must be able to communicate with others in spoken and written English to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the business. This class formulates long\-range goals for the organization, develops policy and position papers and negotiates with the director, city administrators and/or elected officials. Manage department Capital Improvement Projects by answering construction questions, processing invoices and change orders, attending meetings, and organizing Funding Agency documents.
