The Center for Aging Research is searching for a research assistant to join Dr. Sikandar Khan and Dr. Babar Khan research team. The research team works on the Virtual Reality Cognitive Intervention for Critically III Delirium Survivors (VR \- COG) Study. The VR\-Cog study focuses on patients age 65 and older who are ICU survivors. Our study team will assist in evaluating the feasibility, acceptability, and adherence of VR cognitive training delivered at homes of Indiana University Health ICU survivors for 4 weeks. We are looking for a person to be able to screen and recruit patients in a hospital ICU setting (IU Health Methodist, IU Health North, IU Health West, IU Health University) as well as completing study specific visits in subject’s homes. At least 50% of the employee’s time will be spent on the VR\-Cog study, and other time will be allocated to new pilot projects or assisting existing studies on the team, led by Babar Khan, MD and Sikandar Khan, DO. Daily travel to/from the hospital is expected, and the employee will also travel to participant’s homes, which can be up to 1\-2 hours away.
