Supporting Healthy Communities, One Patient at a Time! **Position Primary Purpose:** The Medical Assistant (MA or CMA) will support medical clinic providers by performing routine clinical and administrative duties under direct supervision. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, assisting with examinations and procedures, drawing blood, administering immunizations, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing patient education for Spanish\-speaking clients within the MA scope of practice. The MA will also coordinate patient care, perform procedural coding, and ensure a safe and efficient clinical environment. **Essential Functions:** Performs routine clinical support duties for medical clinic providers under the direct, onsite supervision of a licensed health care provider, including obtaining vital signs, patient medical histories, and presenting problems, and maintaining examination and treatment rooms. Assists providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments. Maintains accurate and thorough medical records, including patient histories, problem lists, vital signs, patient communications, immunizations, and medications.
