**FLSA Status:** Hourly, Non\-exempt **Position Summary:** The Registered Nurse (RN) at WMCC is responsible for acting as a patient advocate, developing and implementing nursing process. **Essential Functions:** * Acts as a liaison for WMCC between physician, patient, and community. * Acts as a resource person to patients and caregivers for information and support relating to disease and treatment. * Triages patient calls that come into the department. * Provides care and support to patients and caregivers during treatment and procedures. * Each day STRIVE to make a difference for your co\-workers and the patients. **Working Conditions:** Normal office working conditions where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise and the like. **Required Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or equivalent education plus work experience required. **Required Knowledge and Skills:** Current State of Michigan RN license required. Experience working in oncology with OCN certification and/or chemotherapy highly desirable. OCN Certification is highly recommended after 2 years of employment.
