FULTON NURSING \& REHAB, located in Fulton, Missouri is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team. Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Duties and Responsibilities: * Hiring new nurses and overseeing the onboarding process by training them or assigning them to a trainer * Creating schedules to ensure that departments have adequate nursing coverage for every shift * Coaching nurses to improve performance and handling discipline issues * Monitoring expenses to ensure that the facility operates within budgetary constraints * Holding staff meetings to discuss patient status * Conducting employee evaluations that identify nurses’ strengths and areas of improvement * Making rounds to assess patient status and observe nurses * Checking patient records to ensure that they are accurate and up to date Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Qualifications and Skills: * Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with staff, patients and patients’ families * Extensive knowledge of nursing best practices and federal, state and local healthcare laws * Strong written communication skills to compile reports and write evaluations * Ana...
