The Medical Assistant (MA) performs duties under direction of a clinical supervisor (RN/LVN/Physician/APRN) and works administratively under the Director of Nursing, to assist in examination and treatment of individuals served in the designated Mental Health Centers. Work involves providing for the care, treatment, and general welfare of patients. Works under close supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Provides direct care with utmost customer service, compassion, and integrity to individuals in a clinic setting. **Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** Participation in and assisting the physicians during doctors clinic, providing professional, complex treatment and rehabilitation. Responsible for measuring vital signs, as well as taking medical history and reason for seeking care and documenting the information in the medical record or the electronic record. Provides required laboratory monitoring and medication education classes for consumers. Performs routine diagnostic and laboratory tests, which may include being required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis....
