Duties Description Duties Description: In the Region 1 Design Group, the incumbent will report directly to the Regional Structures Engineer and serve as the Squad Leader of a Structures Design unit, responsible for the supervision of engineers and technicians in the preparation of design packages for capital projects. This work will include engineering analysis, plan preparation, estimates, reports, coordination with state and local government agencies, and correspondence pertaining to bridge design. The incumbent will be the Project Manager for capital projects relating to bridge engineering and will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate estimates and quality design deliverables such as contract plans and reports. Regardless of specific work assignments, the ability to communicate effectively, lead and supervise employees, establish, and continually adjust priorities, and set a positive professional example are all required traits. Specific duties will be discussed during the interview.
