Description: **Summary** The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing advanced accounting functions in support of the organization’s financial operations, including cash accounting, accounts payable, payroll, resident invoicing, and month\-end and year\-end close activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, performing complex reconciliations, and supporting timely and accurate financial reporting. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant works independently on key accounting processes, provides analytical insight over significant account balances, and supports continuous improvement of accounting systems, controls, and workflows. **Essential Functions** * Prepare and post accurate and timely journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations and analytics over significant account balances. * Review and analyze general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP. * Maintain, review, and reconcile fixed asset records, including depreciation schedules. * Post bank transactions and complete monthly bank reconciliations. * Assist with accounts payable funct...
