**JOB DESCRIPTION** **POSITION:** Physician Back Office Medical Assistant **DEPARTMENT:** Back office **REPORTS TO:** MA Supervisor **NORMAL WORKING HOURS: 4 DAY WORK WEEK!** \*Hours may vary based on physicians’ needs **JOB SUMMARY:** The back office Medical Assistant is responsible to the physician(s) for all of the day\-to\-day duties in the back office clinic. This includes: bringing patients back and checking them in, performing procedures, injections, setup and cleanup of biopsy shave/punch, electrodessications and curettage, excision with (simple/intermediate/complex) closures, and cosmetic Botox tray preparations. Medical Assistant will be able to perform sterile and non\-sterile precautions and procedures, sterile wraps and care of instruments. The Medical Assistant must uphold the image and reputation of the back office clinic. The Medical Assistant must also consistently demonstrate sensitivity to the patients’ needs and requirements.
