**Project Engineer** **POSITION PURPOSE:** The Project Engineer position is responsible for supporting the activities of a construction project site in order to ensure projects meet goals related to schedule and budget. This position requires travel and is located at the job site. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:** * Assist Site Superintendent in directing personnel and sub\-contractors engaged in planning and executing construction project work. * Interpret specifications and coordinate various phases of the construction process to ensure goals are met related to schedule and budget. * Provide knowledge in the areas of electrical, mechanical, structural, civil, and QA/AC. Troubleshoot and answer questions throughout all areas and phases of construction. * Manage and adjust schedules and material usage as necessary. * Coordinate with Project Manager and PM Associate to issue purchase orders for all consumables, equipment and outside sub\-contractors.
