**Job Description:** **Position Summary:** The role of the Fresh Produce Inspector is to ensure the quality of both inbound and inhouse fresh produce items. Visual inspections of produce delivering on the Cooler Dock as well as in house pick slot inspections are paramount to the success of PFG’s Fresh Produce Program. In addition to the inspections, the Fresh Produce QA Inspector works with the Produce CM, Inventory Control, and OPS with the handling of all produce related issues. Daily produce counts on predetermined fresh produce items are completed and numbers are shared with the appropriate National Account Manager as well as the Produce Team. **Position Responsibilities:*** Perform assigned duties efficiently to reduce spoilage; working closely with the cooler Receiving Department on perishable items * Communicate and interact with customers (and company personnel) and vendors in a friendly, timely and quality manner; ensure customers' and vendors' questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. * Determine quality of products returned by customers; work with Returns Clerk on returned produce quality. * Daily inspection of produce returns and determining the disposit...
