Office Medical Assistant compensation: $20\- $28 per hour depending on experience employment type: full\-time Job description Talented, experienced medical assistant needed for our growing medical practice in Santa Barbara . Position will assist as a medical assistant who will provide support in both the back office and some front office on busy patient days. Applicant must function at a high capacity in fast\-paced environments, be able to prioritize tasks, and have great communication skills . Applicant must be a self\-starter who gives their best in whatever they do. Duties will include: Setting up for and assisting in procedures Stocking rooms Answering Phones Obtaining Authorizations Checking Insurance Benefits Scheduling and Confirming Appointments Describing Treatment Plans to Patients Acting as a Liaison Between the Doctor and the Patient Other Back Office Tasks Minimum 1 year experience in a Medical Office is preferred, Experience with authorizations and administrative tasks is preferred but not required.
