**POSITION SUMMARY** The Materials and Manufacturing Planning Analyst is a forward\-looking role dedicated to shaping Vertiv's material future, not managing its day\-to\-day execution. This position is responsible for developing BOM level material strategies that impact forecasting and buying of materials to support the Infrastructure Solutions business. The analyst operates upstream from production, translating product roadmaps, demand plans, and SIOP outputs into strategic material signals that enable Vertiv’s suppliers to plan capacity, allocate resources, and invest with confidence. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Partner with Project Managers and Engineering teams to understand BOM requirements for initial forecasting of supply * Lead material readiness assessments for new product introductions, platform transitions, and engineering change orders (COs), evaluating BOM impacts months before production * Analyze BOM structures to identify commonality, standardization, and consolidation opportunities that reduce material complexity, lower cost, and improve supply resilience * Support/Analyze forecast accuracy at the material and supplier level; identify systemic variances and implement co...
