**The Role** Every purchase at Smith Pump has to line up: what we ordered, what we received, and what the vendor billed us. The Cost Accountant is the person who makes sure it does. You match every vendor invoice to its packing slip and purchase order, and when something doesn't match, you find out why and get it fixed. That means holding project managers and purchasers accountable for purchase orders that are correct and documented. Around here, the best people in this seat get called bulldogs. They see something wrong, they hunt it down, and "it's probably fine" is not an answer they accept. The work is steady and repetitive, and it rewards consistency. If you're accurate and efficient, there's room to take on more, including supporting our CFO on other projects as needed. **What You'll Do*** Match vendor invoices to packing slips and purchase orders to confirm we received what we're paying for * Confirm the required approvals are on every invoice before it's processed * Follow up with project managers and purchasers until their purchase orders are correct, complete, and documented * Review actual costs against purchase orders and maintain cost records * Prepare and send accurate...
