**JOB DESCRIPTION** **Engineering Supervisor** **FLSA Status: Full Time, Exempt** **Pay Grade: M\-12** **SUPERVISION** *Supervision Received:* *Reports to DPW Director* *Supervision Given:* *Exercises direct and indirect supervision over senior engineering technicians and engineering technicians.* **DESCRIPTION** Under the general direction of the City Engineer and/or Director, DPW, the Engineering Supervisor plans, organizes, supervises, and reviews the work of professional and technical engineering staff engaged in the design, review, and construction management of public works and capital improvement projects. The position exercises independent judgment on complex civil engineering matters, ensures projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, and serves as a technical resource to City management, other departments, contractors, developers, and the public. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**: * Plans, assigns, supervises, and evaluates the work of engineering and inspection staff; establishes performance standards, provides training and mentoring, and conducts performance evaluations. * Manages the design, review, and delivery of capital improvement and public works projects, includ...
