LOCATION: KONA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL \| Infection Control POSITION STATUS: 1\.00 \| Permanent SALARY RANGE: BU29 \| SR24 SALARY RATE: $135,636 (Annual Salary) based on the FTE JOB DUTIES: This position is located in the Infection Control unit of the Quality Improvement section of Kona Community Hospital, a 94\-bed acute care facility located on the island of Hawaii, West Hawaii Region, which also includes Kohala Hospital. It is one of 9 facilities within the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation. The Infection Control Department provide professional support for programmatic, internal and external activities, including implementing, coordinating and promoting project activities; identifying and responding to staff and team needs; implementing and assessing policies and programs; and providing senior level administrative support. The position possesses expert knowledge of Infection Prevention, understanding of Public Health principles and practices as they relate to hospitalized patients, staff safety and exposure injury management functions and financial implications on the facility.
