Overview: THE ROLE: The Sr. Cost Accountant will provide support to the Sr. Manager, Plant Finance in the accounting/reporting area. The position is directly responsible for product costing and analysis, inventory reporting and analysis as well as manufacturing variance analysis and root cause determination. The Sr. Cost Accountant will be an active participant in the Pro2col Health/Link Bioscience system integration as well as participate in ERP implementation. The position performs SOX and operational compliance testing and reporting. HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:* Prepare weekly plant absorption report comparing actual performance to budget/forecast. * Maintain Oracle R12 inventory database: creation of new recipes, costing new items, obsoleting old sku versions, work order closures and corrections. * Assist in annual budget process and monthly forecast process by meeting with designated department managers to discuss past financial performance and future financial needs. * Act as a backup to processing all product quotes and maintain quoting database (RFQ) structures as needed. * Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to deter...
