**DESCRIPTION** --------------- Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing both what customers build as well as what they must defend and how they defend it. Autonomous agents now take actions, access data, and call other systems on their own, creating a new security and identity challenge that every enterprise is racing to understand. At the same time, AI is becoming one of the most important tools defenders have. Together, these shifts represent the biggest change in cybersecurity in a generation. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is investing to lead through that shift. We have long set the standard for security of the cloud, and we are building on that foundation in two directions: helping customers secure their AI workloads, agentic applications, and the identities that AI introduces; and delivering a portfolio of AI\-powered enterprise security services that use AI and autonomous agents to help defenders work at machine speed.
