**CLINICAL NURSE I** **JOB SUMMARY** The Clinical Nurse I is a competent practitioner of nursing care and a registered professional nurse who helps to ensure the mission, vision and values of MWPH. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION** * Works with interdisciplinary team members to achieve patient care goals. * Complies with all policies and procedures, providing patient care. * Participates in activities for continuing education, professional development and performance improvement. * Functions with a focus on patient safety and customer service. * May, with appropriate competencies and at least two years recent pediatric nursing experience, serve as escort for transport according to policy. * May serve as charge nurse, with one\-year MWPH experience, and precept new employees. * Utilize the Nursing process to provide high quality patient care to the population served. **POSITION REQUIREMENTS** Educational Requirements Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing.
