Description

The Medical Assistant is a vital and dynamic role in supporting our providers with medical and surgical dermatology. They perform patient services as requested which may require PDT, injections, suture removal, patch testing, bandage change, wound checks and other care as needed. Certification, license (s) and/or schooling is required in order to assist providers with patient care and procedures. Knowledge of healthcare rules and regulations is necessary to understand the complexity of the healthcare field. Willingness to learn and be attentive to our providers and having the ability to prioritize tasks is key to office and patient flow. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely to patients and providers. **Job Duties**: * Always SMILE and have a positive attitude! * Greet patients appropriately (e.g. Good Morning/Good Afternoon, how may I assist you?) * Responsible for opening/closing of exam rooms, assuring they are properly stocked, cleaned and report when stock is low to the proper personnel. * Escort patients to and from the exam rooms. * Enter all patient information into the EMR system and prepare the patients for the providers, including but not limited to, merging ...
