**A Brief Overview** The Lead Pharmacist assists the pharmacy leadership team in facilitating the daily operational or clinical activities of the pharmacy. **What You Will Do** * Oversight of a designated area, service line, initiative or specialty within the pharmacy department. * May require Responsible Person/TDDD license responsibility for a designated pharmacy. * Guide the orientation and training of new and existing professional and technical staff for their specific job descriptions; monitor and/or assess ongoing competency. * May serve as a Residency Program Director or Coordinator. * Leadership of and/or participation in relevant local and/or system committees. * Lead position can be further designated as Operations, Clinical or Dual Role/Combination. * OPERATIONS LEAD assignment may also include: + Primary resource and point of escalation for operational issues. + Oversight and/or support of department operations, including but not limited to: workflow, technology, inventory, staffing and daily logistics. + Examples of duties include: Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations; ensure controlled substance security and accountability measures; assist...
