**General Description** ----------------------- The purpose of this position is to manage the accounting activities related to capital projects, construction work in progress (CWIP), and fixed assets in conformance with GAAP and Toho policy. This position reports to the Comptroller and is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of capital asset accounting, including project tracking, capitalization, reconciliation, and reporting. Key responsibilities include supervising accounting staff responsible for capital and fixed asset processes; ensuring accurate and timely capitalization of assets; maintaining detailed and auditable records; coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and external consultants and vendors; and supporting financial reporting and audit requirements. This position will lead process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and ensure consistency and accuracy in capital accounting practices.
