Job Summary: The Psychosocial Research Program at Butler Hospital is looking to hire one full\-time research assistant to work on a project related to implementing a suicide intervention in a psychiatric emergency department setting. There may also be opportunities available to work on additional projects in our lab focused on implementation of a tablet\-based suicide prevention in a crisis stabilization setting, and identification of novel risk factors for suicide using laboratory\-based behavioral and physiological assessments, smartphone technology, and smartwatches. The Principal Investigators in our research lab are Michael Armey, Ph.D., Chris Hughes, Ph.D., Heather Schatten, Ph.D., and Gemma Wallace, Ph.D. Butler Hospital is the major affiliated teaching hospital for psychiatry and behavioral health of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, located in Providence, RI. Butler Hospital is one of the earliest psychiatric facilities established in the United States. The Psychosocial Research Program at Butler is one of several active research groups at the hospital.
