**Job Title**: Parks Specialist \- Landscaping **Department**: Parks and Facilities **Location**: Woodland Trails Park, 1500 E. Euclid, Mount Prospect, IL 60056 **Reports To**: Parks Manager **Status:** Full\-time, Non\-Exempt **Essential Functions** Crew member working in landscaping, athletic field maintenance and/or general facility maintenance tasks under direction of the Parks Manager. Focusing on mowing during the growing season; this position will also complete routine grounds maintenance such as landscaping, garbage removal, construction and snow removal. Typical schedule is 6 am\-2pm, Monday through Friday, with some weekends and evenings as needed. **Parks \& Projects** * · Mowing, line trimming, and turf maintenance. * · Care of trees, athletic fields, turf, shrubs and flower beds. * · Performs maintenance of the grounds at schools and parks within the River Trails Park District boundaries. * Operates heavy equipment including skid steers, tractors, mowers, and woodchippers. * Garbage cleanup throughout district grounds. * Cleans washrooms as needed. * · Conducts inspections of park grounds, playgrounds, and athletic fields/courts. * · Assists Mechanic with maintaining e...
