Position Summary: Our New York City office is seeking a motivated Assistant Transportation Engineer to join our team working on diverse public and private infrastructure projects for NYC and State agencies. Responsibilities: The **Assistant Transportation Engineer** will :* Geometric design of intersections, sidewalks, and ADA\-compliant elements * DEP system design and private utility coordination * Utility conflict identification, resolution, and relocation support * Design of flood protection infrastructure * Grading, drainage, pavement markings, and signage * Signals and street lighting system design * Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) / construction staging * Preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, and specifications * Coordination with NYCDCC, NYCDOT, NYCDEP, MTA, NYC Parks, Private Utility companies, and other agencies/stakeholders * Participation in public outreach, community board meetings, and client/agency presentations * Field work includes data collection, surveys, and construction observation * Construction support, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and change order evaluations Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering f...
