Specialists provide comprehensive clinical and distributive medication management services and will utilize their advanced clinical skills in the provision of evidenced\-based, safe, and cost\-effective drug therapy to achieve optimal medication therapy outcomes. They serve as a drug information and educational resource for the pharmacy staff, patients, residents/students, medical staff, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will participate in the development of clinical guidelines/protocols, new programs/services, and facilitate professional development activities in their area of expertise.
