**Assistant General Manager** **Southern Tier Logistics Business Park** **M\-F 7a\-330pm** **$64,000 \- $77,000 (salary)** **POSITION SUMMARY:**This position will assist the Operations Manager in all aspects of warehousing, safety, shipping and receiving, and supply chain activities to ensure timely and efficient fulfillment of customer requirements and strategic objectives. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** * Provide leadership that drives operational excellence, continual improvement, and teamwork throughout the facility. * Complete the appropriate metrics and ensure the proper monitoring controls are in place to regularly measure the team’s performance. * Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, train, and develop warehouse associates to build an effective and stable team capable of executing operating plans and achieving objectives. * Analyze and report the team’s results on a regular periodic basis to senior management and recommend corrective action to improve future performance. * Design, implement, and constantly improve material handling, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes to optimize throughput, minimize cost/investment, * and satisfy customer demand. * En...
