**General Statement** --------------------- The Engineer, under limited supervision, performs professional and technical civil engineering work for Union County Water (UCW). Work involves managing complex tasks and projects associated with water and wastewater utilities. Work also involves interpreting and enforcing policies and procedures and making and communicating recommendations to relevant parties. Employee must exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment while complying with industry, County, State, and Federal regulations. Employee must also exercise tact and courtesy in contact with government officials at various levels, consultants, engineers, vendors, and the general public. **Essential Functions** ----------------------- Manages complex tasks and projects associated with the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure.
