**Senior Accountant / Full\-Charge Accountant** **RE/MAX Realty Group** **Gaithersburg, MD** **$65,000–$72,000 per year \| Full\-time \| In office** **About the position** RE/MAX Realty Group is an established real estate brokerage serving the Washington\-Baltimore region. We are looking for an experienced, hands\-on accountant to take responsibility for our day\-to\-day accounting and financial reporting. This is an important position in our company. We aren't looking for someone simply to enter transactions or assist someone else with the books. We need an accountant who is comfortable taking ownership of the accounting function—keeping the books accurate and current, completing reconciliations, handling the monthly close, preparing financial statements, and making sure management knows where things stand. Our business has some accounting complexities that come with operating a real estate brokerage, including agent commissions and billing, multiple bank and credit\-card accounts, related business entities, payroll, and a fairly high volume of transactions.
