**Medical Assistant** **Job title:** Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant **General Job Description** Progressive Dermatology and Cosmetic Medical practice seeks a special Medical Assistant to join our team **RESPONSIBLITIES:** Reports to physician or practice manager * Key individual in managing patient care and work flow * Prep for each patient encounter, including history, labs, prior reports, etc. * Stocking of rooms; specific supplies readily available per appointment needs * Professional intake of patients, including all basic vitals * Documentation into the EMR (EMA) * Patient and room prep for exams and/or procedures * Support Physician during the patient experience * Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician * Maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required * Assist with telephone coverage and proper communication of information * Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physician * Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, injectables and fillers, etc.) * All other duties as assigned by clinical lead or practice manager * Cross training in ot...
