**Position Summary** We are seeking an experienced, detail\-oriented **Controller** to oversee accounting operations for a $17 million nonprofit health and human services organization. The Controller will be responsible for financial reporting, general ledger management, internal controls, grant accounting, audit preparation, and supervision of accounting staff. **Key Responsibilities** * Manage the monthly and annual financial close, with a 15\-day monthly close target. * Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP. * Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations. * Manage grant accounting, cost allocations, and restricted funding. * Maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies. * Coordinate annual financial statement audits and Single Audits, when applicable. * Oversee fixed assets, restricted net asset releases, leases, debt schedules, and other accounting activities. * Supervise, train, and develop accounting personnel. * Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency. * Support the VP of Finance with budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting. **Qualif...
