Position Overview ================= Responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to monitor Tribal client grant expenses for validity, allowance, and appropriate application and ensuring accurate and timely grant reporting, drawdowns, and indirect cost recovery. Key Responsibilities ==================== * Occasional supervision, training, and mentoring may be required to assist Tribal Accountants, Interns, Clerks, and new employees. * Analyze financial information to verify expenses are valid, documented correctly, and assigned to the appropriate fund/grant. * Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures. * Ensure that all revenue and expenses are allowable for the grant and work with accountants and/or client to reclass as necessary. * Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. * Maintain grant files in accordance with industry standards. * Reconcile and prepare summary grant reports not less than monthly as needed for drawdowns. * Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, monthly, quarterly, and annually or as specified in the grant award document and/or attachments. * Review and maintain monthly in...
