Department Overview: The TI Clinical Research Assistant will assist the Total Joints and Tumor Ortho faculty with clinical research activities. The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following: * Assisting in the planning and implementation of research protocols including subject screening and enrollment, study appointment scheduling, responding to inquiries regarding the protocols, collection and maintenance of research data and specimens, analysis of research data * Attending meetings pertaining to research activities * Assisting in preparation of new protocols for IRB submission * Assisting with manuscript development * Developing electronic data capture systems * Assisting in preparation of grant proposals and submissions * Attending meetings pertaining to research activities * Working with the lab on specimen collection and processing and development and implementation of lab model systems Function/Duties of Position: * **Research Development –** Assists in developing new research questions and projects, conducts thorough literature reviews, determines correct methods to answer research questions, and prepares protocols.
